Grade 3

January 2012

Second term is an exciting one for Grade 3 Students.

Two members of the class are testing the strength of their bridge. With one piece of paper, they are supporting a considerable weight. Through enquiry, students learn what shapes are stronger than others. (Note the folded paper’s triangular shapes)

Some curriculum highlights include the study of structures, the use of technology in BC (past and present), writing poetry and playing math games to reinforce multiplication and division skills.

Students will perform two choral reading pieces in the Speech Festival, visit the Royal British Columbia Museum on a field trip, and participate in gymnastics lessons.
