Christ Church Cathedral School is located in Christ Church Cathedral Memorial Hall, a beautiful heritage building on Vancouver Street.

Built in 1923, the Hall is coming into its own as the site of Victoria ’s Anglican Elementary and Middle School.

Huge trees lend their shade to the sandstone building and Christ Church Cathedral itself dominates the site.

Christ Church Cathedral

The School was founded in 1989 and the building has recently undergone major internal renovations to house an expanded and improved School. The fine cut-stone exterior combines with the bright and modern facilities inside to provide a School that speaks of tradition as well as innovation. At the same time we have brought the fire and earthquake safety of the building up to a very high standard.

Following the renovations we now have ten classrooms. As the School grows in the coming years, we will add more classrooms and an expanded library. At present we also have a library, a gymnasium, a playground and an auditorium/theatre space.

The School is close to the downtown area and is very convenient for those parents who work downtown. It is open at 7:30 a.m. and children may stay in the after-school care program until 6:00 p.m. It is close to many educational and recreational facilities for the children to visit.

Christ Church Cathedral serves as a Chapel for the School, (we think we have the most impressive and beautiful school chapel in Canada!) and its Parish plays a very supportive role in the life of the School.
