Cathedral School students in grade 1 and 2 released dozens of salmon fry into the river at Goldstream Park this morning. The salmon have been raised from the egg stage in an aquarium at the school under the careful watch of students and teachers. Good luck on your journey, salmon!
The grade 2 class had a question and answer session yesterday with 2 Stream Keepers who will be setting up a very special aquarium in the front foyer at Cathedral School. Once everything is setup, students in grade 2 will be monitoring the growth and development of salmon fry, getting them ready for release to a local stream this April.
