Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teaches prepared lesson plans and leads interactive learning activities
- Promotes and maintains high standards of behaviour, respect and safety within the classroom
- Initiates and facilitates classroom discussions
- Accompanies classes on field trips
- Supports families with open, ongoing communication
Position Qualifications:
- Valid BC teaching certificate
- A passion for educating children and adolescents
- Team player who works to foster a positive learning environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathetic and accountable
- Ability to self-manage and take initiative
- Creativity, enthusiasm, and a sense of fun
- Experience integrating innovative technology into class lessons
