ADMISSION PROCEDURES
You may have heard about us from a friend, visited this website, seen one of our advertisements, visited us at an Open House, or even driven past the School and seen the signs. You’re interested and you want to know more about our School. A phone call from you to the School is the way it almost always starts.
We invite you in for a first meeting with the Head of School and a tour of the School. You will go away with some written information and a good idea of the kind of School we are. Following that we invite you to return and bring your child, and if he or she is transferring from another School we would like to see reports and any other relevant documents. This is not a formal interview but more of a chance to get to know your child and for him or her to see the School. You might also like to meet the teacher who will teach your child. The next step is to make your initial registration at the School Office. This is the time when you are officially entered into our books and you take your place in the line. We take our students in on the basis of siblings first and all others on a ‘first come, first in’ basis. Places are limited and it is wise to contact us as early as possible. For entrance into Kindergarten it is advisable to apply two years ahead.
After the New Year we will contact you and ask you to fill in the official registration form for Junior Kindergarten and/or for Kindergarten – grade 8 (see forms to the right) and pay the non-refundable deposit, which is set against the first month’s fees. If you are applying after the New Year we will ask you to register and pay the deposit as soon as possible. We only ask you to register and pay the deposit if we have a place for your child. The deposit and the registration form represent our commitment to provide a place for your child and your commitment to our School.
You will receive notification of term dates, and all relevant information before School starts in September. Meanwhile, if there is anything you need, or want to know, before the opening of School, you are welcome to call or visit. There are staff members at the School throughout the summer.
Subject to the availability of places, we take children in at all grade levels (pre-K to 8). We are also able to take children into the School during the year, subject again to the availability of places and careful consideration of the best interests of the child.
Financial assistance for families in need is available through our bursary program in association with Apple Financial Services. Contact us for further details.
Please review the information on the right, and contact us with any questions.
