The great choral tradition of Anglican cathedrals is renowned, and a wonderful opportunity exists today for your child to become part of this ancient tradition of musical excellence.
The Chorister Program is open to boys and girls from Grade 4 to Grade 8. Every student who is accepted as a Cathedral Chorister will receive a generous scholarship toward their school fees, in addition to an outstanding music education.
The program is ambitious and immersive with daily singing and regular performing. Your child will gradually learn music theory, history, vocal technique and musicianship in addition to their regular school classes.
Being a chorister offers benefits that go far beyond music: children work and learn in a fun and creative environment that fosters team work, confidence, new friendships and self discipline. Each chorister also receives a monthly allowance in recognition of his/her work and commitment.
The Christ Church Cathedral School Chorister Program is unique in Canada.

We wish to thank the Anglican Foundation of Canada, The Barraclough Foundation and the NRS Foundation through the Victoria Foundation for their generous support of the young Choristers of Christ Church Cathedral, a fully immersive program of choral music education for children, based at the Cathedral School.
