Duties and responsibilities:

• Teach prepared lesson plans and leads interactive learning activities

• Promotes and maintains high standards of behaviour, respect and safety within the classroom

• Initiates and facilitates classroom discussions

• Accompanies classes on field trips

• Supports families with open, ongoing communication

 

Position qualifications:

• Valid BC teaching certificate

• A passion for educating children and adolescents

• Team player who works to foster a positive learning environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Empathetic and accountable

• Ability to self-manage and take initiative

• Creativity, enthusiasm, and a sense of fun

• Experience integrating innovative technology into class lessons
